To Continue...

...With the "bigger theme", except these are bigger on both the inside and the outside.

ysomt's Milwaukee Art Museum:

Corvin Stichert's Airbus A400 Atlas

If you look closely, the first is actually rendered, believe it or not. The Airbus is quite massive. You can see more of the Airbus from Corvin's set.

Both are fantastically done.

It's Bigger In the Inside

I recently discovered Doctor Who, but I wouldn't call myself a Whovian. I enjoy the show, but I'm not addicted to it. Adam Dodge also found the show recently, and for the MocAthalon 2014 category "Bookends" he made the TARDIS (or Time and Relative Dimension in Space, as I found out), The Doctor, and a Dalek.

The bookends also match up perfectly, to create a nice diorama.

I'm not sure, but I think that's the 10th Doctor, David Tennant. The books relating to time and space in the middle are a nice touch too.

Buy One, Get One Free!

If you all haven't deserted us yet, I thought I'd share with you a couple aircraft I found recently. I leave it to you to decide which is your favorite.

Crimson Storm, by JonHall18

The coolant holes in the gun are what sold me on this design. Without them, it would have been awesome, but that simple detail took it well above the norm.

B-25H, by Sydag

I've always loved WWII airplanes, so when I found out that Sydag was making a B-25, I was quite interested. The curves on these are not easy, but Sydag pulled this off very well. On top of that, he made it in tan, which doesn't have as large a part selection as other colors.

Fantastic work, both of you!

Silver Bolt

This amazing creations is built by Li Li, and is stupendous! The color scheme is fantastic, the shaping is awesome, and that background is epic! This Tank just looks dangerous! There is so much awesomeness in this, I will just let the picture speak for itself...view it on MOCpages and flickr!

Iron Builder: Lego Junkie vs. Gilcélio

I thought I would mention a few of the best builds from the Iron Builders each month. This month it's Evan B. and Gilcélio Chagas. I'll leave a few photos from each here for you to admire.

Lego Junkie/ Evan B.

Gremlin Tank

Drat Rod

This will be an Iron Builder contest we won't forget easily!

U.S.S. Alabama

Lukasz Wiktorowicz is known, not for his detailed, modern vehicles, but rather for his castle builds. He says "I am pure castle builder but I wanted to try something new. So this is the result." And boy, is this result cool.

U.S.S. Alabama:

The bow is excellent, the angle is perfect. This entire thing is living (okay, maybe not living) proof that you don't have to stay in your theme/s to build well. If a castle builder can build a battleship well, there aren't any more excuses for anyone!

Spaceships and Mechs and Giant Robots, Oh Yes!

Catching up on recent MOCs, since we haven't posted in what, months? School again. I know, lame excuse. So as an apology, four of the best recent sci-fi Lego creations in the last few days.

FLAVIO's Falcon:

This just begs for more angles, in my opinion, so here you go.

Jason Corlett's Cherno Alpha

I'm sure some of you will have seen this, it's been circulating recently. I confess I have a mish-mash of favorite themes, and favorite movies as well. I loved Pacific Rim, so I was very happy to see this in my contacts' feed a couple days ago. Apparently, he also says he's going to make the other three also, so hearing that made my day.

tardisblue's Vorfechter:

As Simon Liu said, we often forget that spaceships don't have to be "streamlined and sleek". They can be just as cool, if not cooler, with boxy, tough-looking shapes such as Nick has demonstrated. The color scheme is sweet too.

curtydc's Hawken Reaper:

An incredible amount of angles, colors, and ideas all put together. The lift just adds to the presentation.

We hope you enjoyed this post, and please don't forget about us just yet!
